I had been searching for a Kermode bear in BC every summer for 10 years. I even took a boat trip that went around Princess Royal Island. This year the Kermode bear swam across the Kitimat River and came out on the bank next to me. He was a young male bear and not too concerned by people. Kermode bears are protected from hunting.
